HackSmith is Smith's 4th annual hackathon, inviting students from all over the East Coast to spend an amazing 24 hours at Smith College building products that matter. We've been committed to a 50:50 gender ratio since Day 1, and every year we inch closer to disrupting the gender gap in tech! At HackSmith, expect great food, sleepless nights, and too much fun!
A hackathon is a 24-hour event where awesome people get together to make cool apps, websites, games, gadgets, etc...
HackSmith is open for everyone! Well, as long as you're 18 and/or a college student. We do encourage curious, innovative, and creative individuals to attend!
Please head to the Wright Hall for registration. The opening ceremony will be in Weinstein Auditorium. Hacking, on the other hand, will take place in the Campus Center
This is a great place to learn. We will have mentors and workshops throughout HackSmith to help you learn something new.
Limited travel reimbursement will be provided to students who are not from the five-college area. Please indicate that you'd like travel reimbursement on your application.
If you're in need of teammates or ideas for a hack, we will help match you during a team formation session the day of the hackathon.
Yes, please fill out this housing form to be matched with a host
Your ID, laptop, phone, chargers, and -- if you'd like -- sleeping bags, but most importantly a great hacking spirit!
Unfortunately this year, we don't have access to MLH's hardware lab
The more, the merrier! If you're a Smithie, sign up here. If you're able to host hackers, also sign up here
